DJ VANDAL was born in Odessa, USSR and grew up in New York City.
He was introduced to tagging and street art during his early years in Forest Hills, Queens.
Recruited in 1989 by the BeyondThisWorld crew. Reppin' it ever since.

All the while collecting music on tapes and records, he was a regular on the nightlife circuit
in various “scenes”. A common vibe and goal led to his affiliation with Digital Konfusion in ‘95.
Together the crew organized the infamous “Defyin the Tribes” outlaw parties held underneath a highway
uptown in Harlem. Different DJs played different genres, bringing together a variety of cultures and music
enthusiasts. DJ VANDAL specialized in DrumNBass/Jungle but was able to showcase a variety of styles
including HipHop, House, Electro, and 80s, a multi-genre format the Digital Konfusion crew is now known for.

DJ VANDAL is a longtime veteran of the party circuit in NYC,
having played most weeklies that have come and gone over the years.
Together with fellow DK member, ODI, he held down the monthly Strategic Sessions at Konkrete Jungle for many years.
His mixes are regularly spotlighted on the "Digital Konfusion Mixshow" on FM4 in Austria
and he has been featured on many online radio programs, websites, and podcasts.

In the late 90's, he began to work on various graphic design projects:
Logos, flyers, lucite design, photo-retouching, catalogues, corporate identity, film titles, web graphics,
album covers, package design, commissioned canvas, commercial sets, and the list goes on and on.
Since 2005 he has been working as Art Director on a range of projects including
MethodsNYC streetwear, MainCourseMusic, and BigTimeWriters.
