Magazines

"i subscribe to about 15 magazines and i always deny the digital version. i love hard copy especially print. i dont believe print will die out, but right now people are cuttin all types of fat from their business models. video is just so natural for our culture. it is instant gratification that does not necessarily need to command our full attention. if someone enjoys the piece enough, they will play over and over and its spreads virally. books require you to be sober, attentive, literate, and represent a bigger commitment of time."

-taken from a convo i was having today.

Craigslist under fire for erotic ads

"Craigslist released numbers Monday it touted as evidence of its success in reducing the volume of "erotic services" ads appearing on the Web classified site in an apparent response to a federal lawsuit that accuses the site of facilitating prostitution."

Is this a human trafficking issue or is the government mad that hookers and pimps dont pay taxes???

Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster :
"As our counsel explained to Sheriff Dart's Department in 2007," Buckmaster wrote, "Craigslist cannot be held liable, as a matter of clear federal law, for content submitted to the site by our users...Frankly, Sheriff Dart's actions mystify me."

Why won't Kanye stop singing?

He may have autotuning, but he needs something to autoclear his throat. He may need something to auto delete his entire 2008. OMG why is he sinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnging???? I used to think he was a talented producer that misguidedly pursued a career as a performer. Now i see that he cant possibly be a talented producer if he doesnt:
1- realize he sounds like shit WITH autotuning
2- understand that when people hear autotuning they know you CANT SING WITHOUT IT !!!

Come on. He's doing vocal exercise solos and really believing he's hitting the notes? Maybe he thinks the audience is too dumb to realize how terrible it is. Quite frankly, his whole album is an insult to an educated demographic and that brings up another point entirely. What is Kanye's demographic? I know what it isn't: vocalists.

When he talks about breaking new grounds as an artist, he may be referring to breaking new grounds of embarassment. I'd rather Milli Vanilli or Ashley Simpson at this point.
